I ♥ Being Fabulous (Day 8)

For 31 days I am writing to my children
my future grandchildren, great, and all my great-grandchildren.

Be you.

You are created in God's image.

Each one of us is.

It's evident when I look at mankind that God has many remarkable, unique, wonder-full, mysterious, indescribable characteristics.

Really look, around you, in you, and you will see glimpses of Father God.

"I can see the fingerprints of God when I look at you,
I can see the fingerprints of God, and I know it's true,
You're a masterpiece that all creation quietly applauds,
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God."
I'm ashamed to say that I have attempted to harness many of the unique qualities the Creator purposefully sketched into me.  I've foolishly tried to fit into some mold of what I thought was "socially acceptable."

"Be yourself.  Everyone else is already taken"
Oscar Wilde

Then I became Josie's mommy.

Josie knows she is fabulous.  She doesn't even question it.  Last week she declared, "I love being awesome!"  No harnessing, no trying to fit in- just embracing the masterpiece God made in her!
I whispered to my Maker, "I want that."
As a parent I am fully aware that God artfully sketched unique characteristics into each of my children.
I delight in these 3 works of art!
I see how intentional God was when he designed and wrote them.  I see (in part) how He is uniquely glorified through each of them.

And then I get it...He did the same with me.  Me!

-Expressive, deep thinker, wear-my-heart-on-my-sleeve, chatty, lover of words, people person, story teller, creator of a lovely home, detail oriented, cleaner, organizer, truth-seeker, rule-follower, party-planner, singer, silly dancer, interceding, loves out-loud, I ♥ being fabulousMADE IN HIS IMAGE, ME!
I Delight in who God designed you to be.  I pray that you will embrace that you are made in His image. He didn't get it wrong, He got you just right! I pray that you will embrace your unique design, and live to make Him known in whatever ways He wants you to. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Live in Peace,

I love that you are encouraging your children in their uniqueness, it is so important!! Also, love the reminder to embrace the same principals as adults, sometimes I get so caught up in the need to blend in!
