camping corniness

i miss you blog friends.

i survived our camping trip.  i battled the frizzy hair blues, tent living, campfire smoke smelling, and 30 degree below zero temps (i might be exaggerating a tad), by inhaling  2 s'mores per day (i might be under exaggerating a tad).

time away from everyday luxuries- hairdryer (i hugged it when i got home. really), non coin operated showers, my cozy bed, internet, t.v., wii, work, and daily responsibilities (which right now are a lot as we are gearing up for a busy school year which begins next week) gave us much time to take each other in.

soaking each other up and making memories is the only part of camping that i enjoyed more than s'mores (i'm not exaggerating at all this time).

now go pop yourself some jiffy-pop popcorn, and enjoy these pix and clips from the first two days of our trip.

It looks like so much fun, even with the lack of a hair dryer. Tell Josie I am a big fan of her socks. I heart socks. :)

Looks like you had fun. I love Jiffy pop popcorn. I need to find some before our next camping trip over the long weekend. By the way, I thought I was the only one with the kerosene camping stove. Glad to see the classics are still the best.

That's how we cook popcorn out here in Texas; (although I have used a glove from time to time). Very impressive! And I'm sure between the popcorn, hot coco and smores everyone was quite regular, :). Btw, what did it feel like to be chilly??

ok, when did Michael turn into Dad? he sounded and acted just the way Dad does. i guess that's a good thing since we have a pretty awesome dad.

Hi, thanks so much for your kind words on my blog. It's really nice to meet you. I've enjoyed looking at your blog and videos and so did my teenage daughter, which is saying a lot, since teenagers are not that easy to impress. :)

"All children's clothing should be reversible." Agreed! Josie is adorable with her knee-high socks. I love that she doesn't wear matching socks. What a fun girl.

Personally, I have a love/hate relationship with camping. This summer it's mostly love.
