To Read on the Journey

mama...

I'm beginning today.
Here.
Now.
Entering His gates with thanksgiving in my heart.
{God knows I need to get in there}.
To be in His presence.
In His fullness.
To live full.

Counting my 1000 gifts.

#1. Josie says "mama," and written on the palm of her hand a message, "I ♥ U."

#2.  I'm reminded of words I read just last week, "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands" Isaiah 49.

#3.Spring is here, and Spring. Is. Coming.

#4. My girls baking banana raisin nut bread; dividing the tasks as they kindly work together. The bread will be delicious, but not near as delicious as their sisterly affections are to this mama.

#5. An email sent from my boy today (who attends a digital middle school) which included "i love you mommy!!!!!!!" (that is a lot of exclamations, especially from a 7th grader).

#6. That my husband is home today (power outage at work and nearby town due to storms).  Here to  share in the mundane, the necessary, the gifts.

do you like the book??

i stalled out in my reading and need to get back to it. i need to read when my heart and mind are open and clear. it isn't something i can read without being focused. i also need to figure out how to highlight on my ipad.

love this. love that you are making your list.

The email just put it over the top for me. What a treat from a 7th grade boy! There is nothing like a boy and his momma.

Love this list. I need to go back and look at this book. I haven't heard of it before...

My head doesn't get out of the washing machine very often.

Thank you for stopping by. You're off to a beautiful start with your eucharisteo. I love how reading Ann's book is introducing me to so many women who are kindred in grace.

I'm always excited with I see #1 -- knowing that someone else has now started in on the counting of gratitudes! Love the hand picture! Just the greatest! I loved the verse you quoted about entering into His gates with thanksgiving. I don't know why, but I just got a visual of you walking through those gates!!!! Thank you for that!
