MAYCATION!

today is the first day of "the most wonderful time of the year,"
MAYCATION!

"school's out for summer," and we'll be on maycation at the in-law's casa on bass lake!

for the next 14 days i will be found;
lounging on the beach
life-guarding (swimming is only for the young and brave.  the lake is still cold)
slathering young wakeboarders with sunscreen
on a ski boat waving the orange flag
overseeing the construction of sandcastles
(someone has to make sure they follow county building codes)
devouring fudgebuckets
markley girls & jones kids sharing a fudgebucket, maycation 09

bulking up my muffin top with junkfood
visiting with friends who have become family
(our first visitors are blog friends with families- idaho mom & the best days of my life)
visiting with family who have become friends!

i HEART maycation!

and tell me when can you come for maycation?

I am super jealous...and really wishing I could rob that bank :)

Make a sandcastle for me!

(And just for fun I'll bulk up my muffin top with junk food up here and pretend I was down there with you guys!)

Sounds like fun. Our getaway time will be Julication - going to the coast through the mountains. I'll be thinking of you while I'm eating cake adding to my muffin top.

Denise...
I clicked one of the links and saw that you sent pool noodles to your friends!!

I can't begin to tell you how sweet and thoughtful and original this gesture is. I will be so using it. :)

I feel honoured to be getting to know someone with such a soul as yourself. I don't do "church speak " well, but to me, this is the Jesus in you. These walk the talk reaching out to people things.
These actions of love to those around us, our neighbours, who we are called to love.

have a fantastic Maycation. Our long weekend was last week ( I live in Canada ) , but my husband and daughter are travelling to the States this weekend for a soccer tournament just outside of NYC.

and I'd love to know what a fudge bucket is?
my muffin top doesn't , but my children do.
