glory speaking

"Worship is a deliberate and disciplined adventure in reality." It is not for the timid or comfortable.  It involves an opening of ourselves to the adventurous life of the Spirit.
From Richard J. Foster's Celebration of Discipline

The Christian should be an alleluia from head to foot!
Augustine of Hippo
i have been timid and comfortable.
i long for an adventurous life in the Spirit.

i desire passion, and to be an "alleluia from head to foot!"

i want my life to be a doxology
(from the greek doxa, glory + logas, word or speaking).
i was made to be glory speaking.

"Worship is a deliberate and disciplined adventure in reality." It is not for the timid or comfortable" I love this. I always get upset when people say that they didn't get anything out of the worship during service. Worship is an adventure. You have to be willing to get up and go!

Hi Denise!! I love what you said, "i long for an adventurous life in the Spirit." I could not relate more!! Worshipping God with all that we are is indeed the best possible adventure we could ever have in this life!! Thanks for your response over on my blog :) Have a beautiful Tuesday!

I fear I am not.
I want to be. More than anything. I want to be.

Goodbye to my timid and comfortable ways...hello to the willingness to open myself up to adventure :)
