Smile So Bright, She's Gotta Wear Shades!

I interrupt the regularly scheduled posts (highlighting our trip to the Carolina's) to document this day in Jones history...
the day Emilie got her braces off!
Emilie actually LOVED her braces, and was a little bummed to be saying 'good riddance' to her metal mouth.
But the moment she stepped into her Orthodontist's office to
balloons, lively music, popcorn, and goodie bags
(filled with gum, Gobstoppers, Rice Krispie Treats, Peanut M&M's, and more)
she was ready to embrace her new pearly whites,
and "party like it was 1999!"
(one of the tunes that played, which also happens to be the year Em was born)

One last pic of Emilie with braces taken by a "sentimentally ill" mama...
who payed no attention to the "No Papparazzi" warnings.
Emilie's first glance at her new chompers.
Her smile's so bright, she's gotta wear shades!
Dr. Nalchajian
and the folks at Nalchajian Orthodontics are THE BEST!
They shine brighter than the smiles they create.
Emilie with her favorite Nalchajian staff member, Martha.
(when Em got her braces 19 months ago she was NOT taller than Martha... or me!).

As we left the office we were asked how we were going to celebrate-
With a stop at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for an Avalanche Apple, of course!
Caramel apple rolled in marshmallow and rice crispies, then dipped in Tiger Butter
(mixture of white chocolate and peanut butter) and drizzled in milk chocolate.

This day in Jones history is not only a blogworthy event,
but a vlogworthy event
(you're welcome).
Here's a short video snippet of silly Emilie & I
grinning from ear to ear over her snazzy smile.

Live in Peace,
