emilie is answering language arts questions about wilbur & orville wright.
josie is cutting, coloring, and glueing the rocky mountains on her geography pages.
and i am writing lesson plans for november, coordinating a harvest celebration, balancing the checkbook (on quicken! love quicken), and contemplating what i will make for dinner (okay, really i am procrastinating doing any of that and blogging).
yes, we are "back to life, back to reality."
here is a bit of what we did on our fall break!
we rode bikes around the neighborhood.
we slept in till (8:00) adult late
we scootered across town and browsed antique shops (okay, the kids scootered, i browsed)
i discovered that i am too old to leap off of the park swing (sorry, no photo of me lying on the ground buried in woodchips)
fed farm animals
roller-skated hand in hand
caught up with a few old friends
and were well loved by family

Hi Denise!! I was wondering when you'd get back into the blogging world!! :) Good to see you and to see what you did while you were away! Fun stuff! :)
I also read about your Harvest Celebration! Looks like a total KICK!! I love square dancing... haven't done it in ages! Do a little dosie doh (sp??) for me!!! :)
Okay, seriously. How CUTE are you in those roller skates?? Looks like a ton of fun!!
The corn makes me want to sneeze.
The last time I went to a corn maze/petting zoo, I felt my sinuses filling as I drove off - the tears brimming and swimming and my eyes itching like crazy! By that night I was miserable!!! Oh, the agony of an allergic person in a corn maze. Never again - the kids can go it alone. :)
You look nice and perky, though - no sinus problems for you!
fall breaks are THE BEST. Glad you had fun.
oh that looks like such a fun time. i heart your rollerskates too :o) oh the memories of rollerskating, ya know back in the day..
It sounds like you had a FABULOUS time! What great family memories you're creating :)
