I'm Alive

tongue dances behind my lips

My hands are searching for You
My arms are outstretched towards You
I feel You on my fingertips
My tongue dances behind my lips for You

This fire rising through my being

Burning, I'm not used to seeing You

I'm alive, I'm alive

I was inspired by Lisa Leonard's post Photo Play to attempt some collaging of my own over at picnik. I have a lot to learn, but it is fun to branch out from my usual collages.

The lyrics to David Crowder's song All Around Me have been playing like a new favorite record on my heart this week. The line "My tongue dances behind my lips for You" speaks of the intimacy God and I share.

These two photos capture me, ALIVE.

When are you alive?

What beautiful pictures Denise! Thank you so much for sharing.

I'm alive when my husband and our kids are together just having fun. Or when I see my husband's car come up the driveway and the kids' little heads in the back seat. And I'm mostly alive when I think of how much Jesus loves me and how much I love Him.

I really love your pictures!!

I can honestly say that I am alive when Jesus came into my heart. I've been living ever since then!

Beautiful post Denise!

Lovely pictures Denise!
You truly do look alive- especially in the dancing one. So.much.joy!

I think I am most alive when I am present. I don't know if that makes much sense, but when I am truly engaged with my kids, with Chris, with friends and family I feel most alive. It's the simple times, like dancing around the room with my kids, or laying beside Chris watching a movie, or in the stillness of my quiet time with God.

I feel most alive when I am not being pulled in 20 different directions, and instead am present.

Hi there :) I had to tell you, I call that recipe a "bake" because my husband doesn't eat casseroles either :) But it is layered, so I'm not sure it's a casserole.

It sounds like your friends have some ornery Leprechaun's visit their house. The toothpaste thing would send me over the edge.
