The Feast of Tents!

6 yrs ago, at a Sunday a.m. service, while sitting in the amphitheater on our church property, God and i had a conversation... " This property is really beautiful...we do not get together enough as a community of believers... we should get together and have a church retreat... financially not everyone would be able to's so pretty here...we do have really beautiful grounds, we are a fortunate church... wait!
We Could Do It Here!...have a camp out here...
Feast of Tents!"

This weekend we participated in our 5th Feast of Tents!
Despite the rain, many camped out and shared sweet community!

This years theme was Kingdom Come. It is our desire to be part of God's Kingdom, for His kingdom to come in each of us, in our homes, and in our church.

A 13 year old Feaster of Tenter said, "What I liked is that there was lots of time to just have a conversation. That way, you get to know people." The 7 year old came home with a list of 11 new people she'd met, reciting every name. And the 10 year old counted 2 brand new friends. I say, Thanks for all those who play a part in helping the Body get to BE the Body!

I had packed the wrong shoes, got water on my jammies, got abandoned just before bedtime, and was blessed royally with the family of God.
It was great! Thanks God for snow in the campground we WOULD have been at had the weather been better.

This looks like a wonderful time! We just finished the first stage of our new building (on 75 acres) and I think we need to try something like this. Looks like everyone had a great time!
